Just read this book entitled 'Little Wins for Working Women' by Jen Dalitz, recently. I received the book when I went for Asia Pac Conference in Canberra, Aussie. This was quite some time ago (well, years ago.Haha)...That time, this book not quite interest me...Hehe...And I really did not know where I put it until the other day when my brother decided to clean his room. Like every normal sister, mesti nak menyebok kan. Time tu la, I accidentally stepped on this book (tengah kemas, barang semua were thrown on the floor =.='). Still in good condition, I thought of giving it a read.
Well, I found that it is actually a very good book. About working women, juggling their working life, life at home and life as a woman. I really feel that I've been inspired by this book. Learned to love and celebrate the little wins.
These are some of the captions that give inspiration to me:
"Learning to think 'little' is not about compromise, accepting less or lowering your expectations. It's about quality over quantity; outcomes not hours; detail and discernment." by Jen Dalitz
"little wins give you the emotional boost to keep going when you miss out on the promotions; you forget to pick the kids up; your electricity is disconnected because you forgot to pay the bill; or friends visit unexpectedly to find a home that's in a shambles and an empty fridge!
If this sounds familiar, you're not alone! An you're not a failure.
Because in the very same day you may have receive a compliment from your boss, remembered your mum's birthday; or made it to the gym for the first time this month!" by Jen Dalitz
Anyway, that's about it. Kalau nak tahu banyak lagi please do buy and read the book. ^___^
Thumbs up. I give it 4/5.
